Students are taught string techniques and fundamentals with application to performance music from orchestra traditions, chamber music and solo literature, jazz and world folk music. Students collaborate on musical projects and demonstrate understanding of and appreciation for historical and cultural background, theory and ear training. Orchestra performs in local and regional festivals, concerts and competitions. Chamber Orchestra is by auditions only. Uniform fees and fall or spring tour fees are possible. All participants must do a part of the work at one of the many established fundraisers that involve little or no selling. ASB CARD, Physical, no fines, Athletic Eligibility and signed Pride Code required.
