Career Center

Students from all grade levels who are interested in a career in construction are welcome to attend! Ben Walker of Acme Concrete will be discussing careers in the construction field and then leading students through a fun construction activity. Please see Mrs. Rippee if you have questions.

 

Wednesday, March 4th NY Film Academy Visit

Grades 9-12 are invited to meet with an admissions representative from the New York Film Academy to learn about their unique program offerings, admissions process and requirements.

 

Tuesday, March 17th PSAT 10

8:00am-12:00pm

Theater

Open to 9th & 10th grade students who want to practice taking the SAT and test taking skills. Cost is $17. Pay the business office. Only 88 tests still available so register soon!

 

Thursday, March 19th SCC/SFCC Application Workshop

8:00-11:00am

Career Center

Open to any senior wanting to apply to SCC/SFCC. Students who are still needing to meet State testing requirements will be invited to participate to meet their graduation requirement.

 

Monday, March 30th College Planning Day

7:50-11:40am

Spokane Community College

Space for 50 10th graders to participate. Students will take a bus to SCC and have the chance to participate in multiple sessions led by regional colleges. The purpose is to expose students to different post-secondary options so that they can start planning and get excited for post-high school plans. Students are required to complete a field trip permission slip and return it to Mrs. Rippee

Grades 10-12 are welcome to participate! This is a great opportunity for students to learn more about their interests and skill sets, as well as, meet the state testing graduation requirement and entry into branches of the military. See Mrs. Rippee with questions

 

Tuesday, April 28th SAT with essay

8:00am-12:30pm

Theater

Juniors ONLY are eligible to participate in the school day SAT with essay. There are only 80 tests available and can be purchased at the business office on a first come-first served basis. Cost is $65 or $15 for students eligible for free/reduced lunch. 

 

Monday, May 18th and Tuesday May 19th SCC/SFCC New Student Orientation

Career Center

There will be 3 sessions offered each day. The first session on Monday, May 18th from 7:40-9:40am will be for current seniors planning to attend SCC/SFCC in the Fall 2020. All other sessions will be for Running Start students (sing-up in the Google Classroom). If you are a senior planning to attend SCC/SFCC in the Fall 2020 and you cannot attend the first session please see Mrs. Rippee.
