Parking Registration

All students parking on the UHS campus must register and receive a parking tag. A $10.00 yearly registration fee will be charged for this.

Parking is restricted to designated parking lots only. Students may not park in visitor parking spots, which are located in front of the main office, or in the staff portion of the parking area.

The speed limit on the UHS campus is 5 mph. This will be strictly enforced, and consequences for speeding, negligent/reckless driving, or any moving violation will result in loss of parking privilege.

The parking lot is off limits to students during the school day. Students leaving or returning to campus during the day must have proper permission/clearance through the office or from an Administrator to do so. Leaving without proper authorization will be considered a truancy and an infraction of school policy.

Parking tags must be clearly displayed on the rear view mirror or on the dash. Vehicles without clearly visible or proper tags will receive a violation sticker. There will be a $10.00 charge to replace lost tags.

Vehicles parked improperly in any area on campus or vehicles without tags displayed will be issued a violation and subject to a fine. The fines are as follows:

A fine of $ 5.00 will be charged for each violation, up to $25.00. After a student receives five violations, a letter will be sent to the parent/student notifying them that their vehicle will be towed at the owner’s risk and expense, and their parking privileges will be revoked for the remainder of the school year, immediately upon the next infraction.

All vehicle/pedestrian accidents must be reported immediately to the School Resource Deputy or an Administrator.

All parking fines from previous years must be paid before a current tag will be issued.

University High School and the Central Valley School District assumes no responsibility for vehicles that are damaged or stolen. Washington State Law requires that you must have auto insurance to operate a motor vehicle.
