ABOUT THE SEASON

 

Experience the tradition, excellence, and brotherhood of Titan Boys Soccer. Our program is dedicated to building a culture of competitive success while fostering lifelong bonds on and off the pitch. With a commitment to fielding three full teams (Varsity, JV, and C-Squad), we take pride in offering every athlete the opportunity to grow their game and be part of our Titan soccer community.

Season Overview & Tryouts

The 2027 season officially begins in early spring. Mandatory tryouts will be held for all prospective players to determine roster placements.

  • Location: UHS Stadium
  • Tryouts: Early Spring 2027 (Specific dates TBA)
  • Season Duration: March – May

ABOUT THE COACH
 
Kara Sharpe has been a Special Education teacher at University High School since 2010. A U-High alumna herself, she took over the girls Soccer program in 2018 and the boys program in 2023. Coach Sharpe brings nearly two decades of elite player development to the Titan program. Since taking over the boys' program in 2023, she has combined her deep roots in the community with a high-standard coaching philosophy.
 
  • Elite Background: A four-year starter at UHS and a Division I athlete at Washington State University, where she competed in two NCAA tournaments.
  • Professional Development: Nearly 20 years of coaching experience in the Spokane area, including 17 combined years with the Spokane Shadow and Spokane Soccer Academy.
  • Proven Results: Under her leadership, the boys' team has reached the GSL playoffs in two of her three seasons. She has mentored GSL MVPs, All-league players and helped numerous athletes advance to the DI, DII, DIII, NAIA, and professional levels.
 
 
As a student-athlete at University High School, graduating in 2001, Kara was a four-year starter and a three-time 1st team All-GSL selection under current Titan Athletic Director, Brandon Deyarmin. She continued her career at the Division I level, playing for Washington State University from 2001–2005, where she competed in two NCAA tournaments.
